  • 1 BEWARE - DIRTY & YOUR CHILDREN WILL BE AT RISK!

I recently had to remove my children from this facility for their own safety and cant understand how it is could have passed an ofsted inspection. The staff have also harrassed and intimidated me because I told them why I was not happy and did not pay for the 4 week notice period - why should I when my children are subjected to the following! (i) My two children (aged 5 months and 17 months at that time) were not looked after to an acceptable standard, were not fed properly, were left crying and unattended and came home distressed and dirty. My children were clearly neglected by staff and bullied/attacked by children that displayed behavioural problems (three of these incidents I was a witness to, and I have independent witnesses to other incidents) – yet nothing was done about this despite me raising my concerns several times. The nursery merely chooses to ignore this unacceptable behaviour and has very little regard for the children in their care. I subsequently reported my concerns to my health visitor and other parents in my area have also withdrawn their children due to experiencing the same type of problems – I discovered later that this nursery has somewhat of a bad reputation due to hygiene and behaviour issues. (ii) This nursery thought it acceptable to allow my children to eat dirt and play in dirt - thus resulting in them coming home filthy with ground in dirt in their hair, fingernails and teeth and their clothing being totally ruined to the value of around £300 - resulting in me having to continually purchase replacement clothing. (iii) The nursery was closed at short notice for inappropriate reason (One occasion being a funeral) leaving parents having to take time off work - plus it was also planned to close for 1 week at Christmas and charge parents for this despite assurances that this would not be the case when I signed my contract for my elder daughter.. (iv) The nursery was dirty and baby chairs and equipment were stained and ground in dirt and vomit and never cleaned – the hygiene standards were very poor. (v) Older children with behavioural issues were allowed to mix with small babies in a very confined space in the mornings due to lack of staff – this resulted in my younger daughter being placed at risk and children continually attacking and falling onto her. (vi) The nursery had no idea about first aid and failed an ofsted report based on not having a certificate last year! they also didnt provide a contract for my younger daughter Natalia then it was only mentioned later that holidays would be chargeable when this was not agreed initially. I never did receive a copy of the full terms of the contract before I signed the one page that I was asked to sign. I therefore do not believe that I even had a legal contract - especially when terms of the contract are unfairly added at a later date and without consent. The nursery also offered to take my younger daughter earlier than allowed by Ofsted if I 'Kept quiet' In my experience its only a matter of time before a child is seriously injured as this nursery is more interested in making money than children’s welfare! BEWARE!
